My name is Miranda and I am excited to be a preschool teacher at FLP! You may know me as the “lady trying to hold all the babies!” 🙂 I have an associates in Early Childhood Education and have taught preschoolers and nurtured infants for many years! I love children and am passionate about letting children express themselves in a safe, loving, and supportive environment. I think it’s important to show children that we are all unique (adults included) and our experiences in life vary. Adults influence their first impressions of our unique journeys and when we love and care in a non judgmental and encouraging manner they will follow suit. When I am not at home playing with my two children (3 & 5) you can find me on Capital Hill exploring my other passion; bartending and learning about Greek food!
Come to FLP’s pre(un)school class! Children are encouraged to be unique and authentic with their play, physical activity and creativity. Explore life and diversity with me through children’s literature and we can be a part of everyone’s special and individual style of learning. Whether your child loves crafts, dancing or observing others I can facilitate learning and we can build relationships together! Class is recommended for 3 to 6 years and I can accommodate different temperaments, learning styles and even siblings. Let’s play!
