Are you curious about how the universe works, from the invisibly tiny to the inconceivably huge to the things we experience in our everyday lives? If so, then join us for the Physics Club!
When: October 2, October 16, October 30, and November 13 at 12:00
Where: Computer Room
Who: Ages 9 and up
We’ll be exploring topics in physics that are chosen by the club members, with suggestions made by your mad scientist facilitator, FLP parent Joe Olson. Some examples could be: what are gases made of and why do they behave the way they do? What is sound? Why do we not fly off the spinning earth? What is space-time? What are atoms made of? Any question you can imagine likely has a physical answer when we delve deep enough.
There will also be demonstrations of physical concepts when possible. While we will concentrate on understanding physical concepts, mathematical concepts will also be introduced for those with more advanced mathematical skills to explore the relationship between the two.
