Nate Gowdy is a fine art documentary photographer known for capturing candid moments and for the diversity of his subjects, from drag queens to U.S. presidents. Since getting a camera in 2011, he’s photographed hundreds of events, particularly in Seattle’s LGBTQ community, and his political photojournalism has been featured internationally, including on the cover of TIME Magazine. Always in his element engaging people and mixing things up, he enjoys applying his creative process to events, weddings, portraits, real estate, and commercial marketing campaigns. He lives in the Capitol Hill neighborhood with his girlfriend Erika, their three cats and a fiddler crab, and his photo studio is located in the International District. Formerly he’s been a newspaper editor and preschool teacher.
