SEATTLE CUCINA COOKING SCHOOL leads creative, hands-on classes to improve students’ nutrition, how they relate to their families and community, and how they participate in sustainable food systems. Cofounders, Alice and Erica, teach in local schools, community centers, and after-school programs in the greater Seattle Area.
Alice received her degree in Public Health from the University of Washington and is interested in the intersection of cooking, nutrition, and childhood development. She has been cooking avidly for the past 10 years for friends and family!
Sign up for this hands on Cooking Crash Course with Seattle Cucina Cooking School! Each week we’ll whip up a recipe that focuses on important cooking skills. We’ll learn how to work with delicious winter vegetables, make classic sauces from all over the world, make a well-rounded dinner, bake bread and dessert, prepare the tastiest soups, cook off certain cuts of meat and much much more!
By the end of this series, students will have the practical skills necessary to begin cooking at home, and will have the knowledge necessary to eat food in a wholesome, nutritional, and sustainable manner. Class prices include a large snack. Accommodations for some dietary restrictions can be made upon request, please contact Seattle Cucina at least two weeks prior to the start of class to determine whether accommodations can be made.
