class description

Writers play with language whenever they can, and that’s what we will aim to do within our class time. We’ll write poetry, small moment memoir, and dabble in whatever type of writing interests the students. We’ll write in-class and also create artwork based on our writing, from drawings to collage. Students will be encouraged to read their work or have someone else read their work for them. We’ll also talk about the writing we love every week and I’ll use picture books to discuss how writers and artists make words sing.
