Day, Time: fridays 12:00-1:00
Holly Rikhof studied Molecular Biology and Biochemistry at the University of Colorado and has worked in a variety of research labs. In recent years, as a COOP preschool parent and active classroom volunteer, she has been able to use her science background to inspire discovery in the classroom. She very much enjoys inspiring young minds to fall in love with science.
A common misconception is that science and art are opposites, but the truth is that art and science are inextricably linked. Science is what makes art! In this class we will use chemistry, physics, and mathematics to create art, and we’ll discuss the biological basis for our appreciation of beauty.
